Christ Church United Methodist

A Reconciling Congregation

Contact Us:    303-322-0784

Office Hours:     Monday - Friday - 9:00am - 1:00pm

Christ Church is a United Methodist congregation in central Denver. Our faith community takes seriously both the heart and the mind as we nurture the spirit of God. You will find a community striving to be real: combining intellectual questions along with heart-felt experiences to seek wholeness in living. We believe you will be welcomed, loved, and embraced in authentic and vulnerable ways. We believe there is a unique place to find hope in the midst of a dark, chaotic, and challenging world -  at the corner of 7th and Colorado.

Our hope is that you will find here a Christian community of integrity that will challenge you and encourage you in your spiritual journey. We invite you to be part of the community we call church.

"Saturday Church" Movie

We are having trouble finding a showtime in MetroDenver, so please keep watching for details.

You know this story, it's the story told repeatedly of young queer people finding their path. This film is unique in that trans people are playing the roles, portraying their own experience in the world. This film also shows an additional layer with conservative religious theology playing out the cast's shame and rejection as major themes.

Conscious Groups

Join Rev. Eric on Wednesdays in the Naylor Study beginning January 10th from 6-7pm for more in-depth exploration of the concepts presented on Sunday mornings in January. Conscious Leadership is about being willing to engage in a deeper reflection of our feelings and intentions, and how we can be leaders committed to our healthiest selves.

Mitten Tree a Success!

Lorrie Wright and Julie Zerbe from UMW delivered all the items from the mitten tree to Inner City Parish.  They delivered 57 pairs of gloves/mittens, 29 hats, 6 scarves, 1 pair of socks, 1 t-shirt, 1 snowsuit, and 1 pair of slippers. Thank you to everyone who donated items in December!

January Series - Conscious Disciples

Our new worship series will focus on four attitudes of disciples that Jesus invites us to lean into: responsibility, curiosity, speaking candidly, and appreciation. Each of these is within us, but our ability to consciously draw them out and act on them is the challenge we face. Join us Sunday as we investigate Conscious Curiosity.
