Rev. Carolyn Waters

Pastor

Rev. Carolyn Waters is a life-long United Methodist, and adult-life-long United Methodist clergy. She served in places as exciting as Oklahoma and Nebraska before moving to Colorado in 2000. Carolyn came to Christ Church United Methodist in July 2003 from serving as Senior Pastor at First United Methodist in Boulder.

Aside from church life, Carolyn enjoys almost every outdoor activity, from gardening to skiing, hiking to golfing. Having a good cup of coffee with a new friend is also a "must" in every week. For Carolyn, ministry is about helping people connect with one another, the world, themselves, and reflecting on the meaning of it all.

This year Carolyn looks forward to starting “The World Café” in a “spirit” mode at Christ Church. When you get a chance, ask her what that’s all about.

Christ Church brings an alternative voice to the Christian Tradition. Carolyn’s most focused intention is to give voice to the Christian Tradition that is inclusive, open-minded, and open-ended.

If you need to have all the answers, this wouldn’t be your kind of place. If you are on a journey, not knowing where it might lead, you’ll find here a resting place for your soul.

No matter who you are or where you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome in this place!
