 WELCOME

 THIS WEEK

 AT CHRIST CHURCH

Christ Church is a United Methodist congregation in central Denver. Our faith community takes seriously both the heart and the mind as we nurture the spirit of God. You will find a community striving to be real: combining intellectual questions along with heart-felt experiences to seek wholeness in living. We believe you will be welcomed, loved, and embraced in authentic and vulnerable ways. We believe there is a unique place to find hope in the midst of a dark, chaotic, and challenging world -  at the corner of 7th and Colorado.

Our hope is that you will find here a Christian community of integrity that will challenge you and encourage you in your spiritual journey. We invite you to be part of the community we call church.

August Sermon Series

August 6th we start a new series in worship: Prayers of the People. Our appeals rise out of belief in God's character to hear our experience and remain steadfast and faithful in love and joy. Our prayers are praising, lamenting, confessing, hopeful, and communal. There is no right process for praying, just a movement where prayer reflects our lives. But, let's be real that we all struggle with prayer, whether through a season or on a continual basis. Join us for a season that seeks to strengthen our conversations with God and our personal and communal prayers.

August 20th:       The prayer for others - Paul

The prayer of victory - Miriam

August 27th:       The prayer of confession - David

September 3rd:  The prayer of community - Nehemiah

Where Do We All Live?

Christ Church is commuter church, meaning many of you don't live within 2 miles of the church building. We wonder where you live in relationship to the rest of the community. Please take a moment on Sunday and help us build an assessment of where you all live in the Denver-Metro area. Find the map in the Narthex and place a pin where you live!

The Road to Edmond Filming

This Sunday, August 20th from 2-9pm they will be filming a same-sex wedding and reception for a movie called The Road to Edmond in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall of Christ Church. They still have room for a few more extras, so if you'd like to be an extra in the movie you can sign up here. Or if you want more information on the movie you can find it here.
